The Ghatal Yogoda Satsanga Sri Yukteswar Vidyapith is managed and administered by Yogoda Satsanga Society of India. The school runs under Special Rules as granted by the Government of West Bengal as per Government Gazette No. 1403 Edn(S)/ 8B-3/ 69 Pt.vi(b) dated 6th September, 1973 and No. 175 - SE/JS/13 dated 27th August, 2013.

At its inception the school was affiliated with West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as a Junior High School and was subsequently upgraded on 1st January 1964 as a Secondary School. Later, from the academic session 2000-2001 it was further upgraded to a Higher Secondary School having streams of Science, Arts and Commerce.
