RECRUITMENT NOTICE
ONLINE applications are invited for the following vacant posts of Ghatal Yogoda Satsanga Sri Yukteswar Vidyapith (H.S.), P.O. - Ghatal, Dist. Paschim Medinipur, running under the aegis of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India through Special Rules granted by the Govt. of West Bengal. The last date of submitting applications online is 18th August, 2025.
Disqualification (applicable to all the advertised posts):
(a) No person shall be eligible for selection for appointment unless he is a citizen of India.
(b) No person shall be eligible for selection for appointment if he is convicted by any Court of law.
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. For Assistant Teacher in History (Post no. 1 as mentioned above):
All eligibility criteria (including age) will be as per norms of the WBSSC Rules for Appointment of Teachers 2007 and all subsequent amendments issued till date.
(a) The Candidate must be a citizen of India.
(b) On or before the last date of receiving online application , he/she must possess the minimum qualification, as prescribed by the NCTE for Assistant Teachers of Classes IX & X.[(a) Graduate / Post Graduate from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution,
or
(b) 4–year degree of B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.]
Note - As per rule, a candidate willing to be selected as an Assistant Teacher for Classes IX & X in any Government aided or Government sponsored school having Bengali or English or Hindi or Nepali or Oriya or Santhali or Telugu or Urdu as the medium of instruction, as the case may be, shall have passed Bengali or English or Hindi or Nepali or Oriya or Santhali or Telugu or Urdu, as the case may be, as first or second or third language at Secondary/ Higher Secondary/ Graduation/ Post Graduation level examination conducted by the Board or other concerned bodies.Bengali is the medium of instruction in the present school.
Note - A candidate applying for a subject must have passed at least the graduation level examination with a minimum of 300 full marks in the relevant or concerned subject or post graduate examination in the concerned or relevant subject.
2. For Clerk (Post no. 2):
Passed School Final/Madhyamik or its equivalent or Old H.S. in lieu of School Final / Madhyamik or its equivalent. Diploma in Computers
3. For Gr. D (Post no. 3):
Passed Class VIII from any School recognised or affiliated by Board / Council or equivalent.
Age-Limit:
1. For Assistant Teacher in History (Post no. 1):
Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 1st January of the year of advertisement. Upper age limit is, however, relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, and 8 years for the Physically Handicapped Candidates.
2. For Clerk (Post no. 2):
Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 1st January of the year of advertisement relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe candidates and 8 years for the Physically Handicapped Candidates.
3. For Gr. D (Post no. 3):
Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on 1st January of the year of advertisement relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates, and 8 years for the Physically Handicapped Candidates.
Acts, Rules and GOs to be followed:
1. For Assitant Teacher in History (Post no. 1):
175-SE/JS/13 dated 27.8.2013, 1105-SE/S/1S-26/2010 (Pt.-III) dated 20.09.2016, 764-SE/S/10M-03/2025 dated 29th May, 2025 and other Acts, Rules and GOs as applicable.
No. 697-ES/S/IS-18/08 dated 09.07.2009, No. 175-SE/JS/13 dated 27.8.2013, No. 258-SE(S)/1S-08/2014 dated 06.04.2015, No. 727-SE(S)/IS-08/2014 dated 02.06.2016 and subsequent amendments.
Pay scale, allowances and other retirement benefits are as per state govt. rules as applicable to grant in-aid institutions.
After completing the formal registration process through our Appointment Portal, applicants have to fill in and submit online all the required details, and upload all relevant certificates, documents and/or testimonials, passport-sized photographs, before submitting their applications. Selection Procedure:
Selection to the post shall be made on the basis of Written Examination, evaluation of Academic Qualifications, Oral Interview and Lecture Demonstration.
The break-up of the Written Test (WT), Academic Qualification (AQ), Oral Interview (OI) and Lecture Demonstration (LD) shall be as follows:
WT: 60 marksSubjective Test – 45 marks
Test of aptitude in imparting value-based education along the lines of the Aims and Ideals of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India – 15 marks
The syllabus of the WT (Subjective Test) shall be as per the latest prescribed syllabus by WBSSC.
AQ: 20 Marks
OI: 10 marks
LD: 10 marks
Appearance before the Selection Committee for Oral Interview and Lecture Demonstration is compulsory.
- All eligible candidates will be issued admit cards for the Written Test.
- A merit list will be prepared considering only the first five position holders based on the written tests and academic qualifications (Academic Qualification Marking Procedure). The enlisted candidates in the merit list will be issued call letters for a Oral Interview and Lecture Demonstration.
- The final panel of three successful candidates in order of merit will be prepared after considering the total score obtained in written tests, academic qualifications, Oral Interview and Lecture Demonstration.
- The details of venue and dates of written test, Oral Interview and Lecture Demonstration will be duly intimated to all eligible candidates and will also be published in our Appointment Portal.
2. For Clerk (Post no. 2 as mentioned):
Selection to the post of Clerk shall be made on the basis of Written Test, Computer Typing and proficiency Test, evaluation of Academic Qualifications and Personality Test.
The break-up of the Written Test (WT), Computer Typing and Proficiency Test (CMTP), evaluation of Academic Qualifications (AQ), and Personality Test (PT) shall be as follows:
WT: 60 marks
- General Questions – 45 marks
- Questions to test candidate’s aptitude towards value-based education along the lines of the Aims and Ideals of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India – 15 marks
The syllabus of the WT (General Questions) shall be as per the latest prescribed syllabus of WBSSC.
CMTP: 25 marks
Break-up of Marks allocated for Computer Typing and proficiency Test:
- Computer Proficiency written Test – 15 marks
- Computer Typing Speed Test– 07 marks
- Computer Typing Accuracy Test– 03 marks
AQ: 10 marks
PT: 05 marks
Break-up of Marks allocated for Personality Test:
- General viva voce – 3 marks
- Assessment of the depth of knowledge of the candidate in his own filed of work – 2 marks
Appearance before the personality test board is compulsory.
- All eligible candidates will be issued admit cards for the Written Test.
- A merit list will be prepared, considering only the first five position holders based on the Written Test, Computer Proficiency and Typing Test, and evaluation of Academic Qualifications. The successful candidates will be issued call letters for a personality test.
- The final panel of three successful candidates in order of merit will be prepared after considering the total score obtained in the Written Test, Computer Proficiency and Typing Test, evaluation of Academic Qualifications and personality test.
- The details of venue and dates of written test, Computer Typing and Proficiency Test, and personality test will be duly intimated to all eligible candidates. These details shall also be published in our Appointment Portal.
3. For Gr. D. (Post no. 3 as mentioned above):
Selection to the post of Group D Staff shall be made on the basis of Written Test (WT) and Personality Test (PT).
The break-up of the Written Test (WT) and Personality Test (PT) shall be as follows:
WT: 45 marks
- General Questions – 30 marks
- Questions to test candidate’s aptitude towards value-based education along the lines of the Aims and Ideals of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India – 15 marks
The syllabus of the WT (General Questions) shall be as per the latest prescribed syllabus of WBSSC.
PT: 05 marks
Break-up of Marks allocated for Personality Test:
- General viva voce – 3 marks
- Assessment of the depth of knowledge of the candidate in his own filed of work – 2 marks
Appearance before the personality test board is compulsory.
- All eligible candidates will be issued admit cards for the Written Test.
Examination fees for all the three posts are to be paid ONLINE only as per the instruction given in the website.
- A merit list will be prepared, considering only the first five position holders based on the Written Test. The successful candidates will be issued call letters for a personality test.
- The final panel of three successful candidates in order of merit will be prepared after considering the total score obtained in the Written Test and personality test.
- The details of venue and dates of written test and personality test will be duly intimated to all eligible candidates. These details shall also be published in our Appointment Portal.
Examination Fees:
- For AT: ₹ 600/- (UR), 500/- (SC, ST), No examination fees for Physically Handicapped (PH) and Exempted Categories (EC)
- For Clerk: ₹ 500/- (UR), 400/- (SC, ST), No examination fees for Physically Handicapped (PH) and Exempted Categories (EC)
- For Gr. D. (Peon): ₹ 300/- (ST).
